Hey Grant, reading this brought me to a pause to think about my life. I almost have similar experience with just that I have not yet landed my first data analytics job.
I studied Statistics. Loved Mathematics and for some weird reason, loved teaching and simplifying Maths for students. So I started teaching Mathematics and Physics in a school.
But i knew i was meant for something bigger
I started learning data analytics because it also made sense and aligned with my interest

Most people don’t need more reasons.
They need language for what they already sense.
And then go for it after they have the language (:

4th lesson is biggest for me. You must pick a door or you’ll never see what’s on the other side.
I really believe a lot of people scared of screwing something up or waiting for it to be perfect. Just do it!
“Walk through at least one door and see if you like it”, such simple advice, but so true.
Most of us only figure things out by actually trying.
I think there is too many people with messing up. Like I walked through of a door of teaching. And it’s crazy how I got to the position I got to.
That must feel pretty special looking back.
